REVIEW: Sam Yang Ind – Sumatra 2500 Air Rifle – On Test – PCP Airgun, hello there welcome to the airgun gear show I have to admit I’ve lost my heart to a little Asian beauty [Music] this is the samyang industries 2500 Sumatra air rifle one of the first things you’ll notice about the Sumatra 2500 is the twin air cylinders they sit nicely one on top of each other and like other manufacturers who tried this before and put the cylinders side-by-side and that makes you feel like you’re walking around carrying a pair of balls in your hand no balls and if you’re thinking of anything else you’ve got a dirty mind the rifle is completely ambidextrous even the magazine can be loaded from the left or right without adjusting the gun if you require a further tighter fit then the stop cheek piece is adjustable nestled in the symphony of wood is the centerpiece of this magical air rifle this is cast metal with stamped engraving on the side not entirely my cup of tea but I far prefer it to a massive logo slush tore down the side this is a six shot rifle which harps back to the good old days of the Wild West I didn’t know the Koreans were such fans of the cowboy era a single action safety and open sights are added to the package the double air cylinder has a quick fill system and the barrel well let’s just say it’s European and it’s a good one tipped at the end with a half-inch UNF for an additional silencer the magazine is deep so it will take longer pallets and clear so you can see how many shots you have left and you get to with the rifle underneath the four end is the fill gauge which I don’t know why is one of my favorite parts of the rifle it just seems so neat and well-thought-out the underside also reveals a dial which in UK sub 12-foot power models is set in the middle but if you’re outside of the UK and your laws allow that doll moves and it will give you more or less power now some confusion in UK distribution this rifle is sometimes known as the stinger however the more common name for it is the 2500 which why I’m calling it the 2500 but if you can’t find it anywhere ask for the stinger all right now the other bit of news is that apparently listed on some websites the adjustable cheek piece is going to be faded out as something included in the package so you might want to go early and get yourself one if you want one with the adjustable cheek piece mine is not to reason why I’ve been sent what I’ve been sent tada now let’s get on and do some accuracy first I’m going to shoot at 15 yards just so you can see what the rifle can do you can see my scope gun system and here the jet aircraft [Music] I’m going to be using de state sovereign palates why well I’ve tried all the other ones and these seem to work best AC guns who actually very kindly supplied me with this rifle did suggest the occupiers but I actually find the sovereigns out shoot them [Music] I can hear you screaming 15 yards go further okay 26 yards next [Music] at 15 yards it’s one big hole 26 yards it’s one big hole so you tummy lets out a little bit of a burp or a gurgle on the six-shot and I pull it to the right either way fan tastic hang on hang on before we carry on I’ve got a question for you have you subscribed no we’ll press the subscribe button I’m not a commercial channel they don’t get paid for my videos you’re watching some moron that loves making videos and loves our guns and in their wisdom a gun manufacturers send me quality air rifles and air pistols to show you guys so if you don’t want to miss out on them in the future press the subscribe button and if you’ve liked the video please press the like button as well now let’s carry on with the Sumatra 2500 stinger whatever this rifle is capable of so much more than 26 yards out 250 yards I’m knocking spinners over time after time after time it simply is faultless on its accuracy and consistency right the way through its charge the Fiesta resists dance of the gun and of course the way you cock it and load it it’s like nothing I’ve seen before on an air rifle other than some cheaper co2 brands it really does work the magazine itself is simplicity with pallets literally dropping in you don’t need to push them in so they won’t deform when you push them in there’s no force required they just drop straight in when the magazine is in the rifle the pellets are retained by this very smooth surface here thus when loading the rifle I would always suggest tipping it slightly forward just so the pallets don’t fall out push the magazine in give it a spin and you’re ready something else I’ve noticed with the Samara 2500 is that when you’re ready to load your next shot you don’t have to take one hand off to grab something on the side because your hand is always engaged and that adds stability to the whole cocking mechanism walking with the rifle it’s really comfortable and it’s useful for anything from garden plinking to long-range hunting it’s a complete package air rifle the whoodles of consistency in power on a six-shot string more 190 bar fill but I would say the sweet spot on this rifle is between about 140 bar and 170 I’m sure there are loads of technical details I’ve messed weight size caliber variations accessories etc you want to know more and click on one of the links in the description box below so what do I think of the Sumatra 2500 air i-4 it’s devastatingly good it’s got superb accuracy and super build quality in fact I actually think it’s being under sold at the price it’s retaining at outshoot some rifles that are worth twice the price and its build quality is also worth twice the price those twin 290 CC air cylinders work not only in shooting practice but in looks and the way they nestle in the fore-end is an absolute joy I have to admit the open sights on the Sumatra 2500 are a little bit of a gimmick but whack a scope on that dovetail rail on top and WHAM you’ve got an air rifle that I think could win competitions and I say that again genuinely think it could win competitions this is so different from the norm that I have to admit before I started firing it I was a little bit skeptical but now I’ve fallen head over heels in love with it and it has to stay in my gun cabinet if you get the chance hunt one of these down put your hand in your pocket and give you money to the retailer why because I think you’re stealing it from him at that price it’s really that good thanks for watching bye [Music] This is another glamorous item!
